YOUR ITINERARY
Friday | We depart the local area mid-morning and travel to Trentham, such a special place. 725 acres of spectacular natural beauty and home to award-winning Gardens, glorious ancient Woodland, a unique outdoor shopping village, events galore and so much more.
Saturday |Today we visit the magnificent residence of the Duke of Devonshire, Chatsworth House. The current property dates from the 17th Century and has the reputation as the grandest country house in England. We tour the lavish interiors at our leisure then view the splendid gardens, set in the most glorious countryside.
Sunday | We begin our day in Cromford, from where we enjoy a return 2-hour narrow boat cruise through the picturesque Derwent Valley. We finish our morning with a visit to Sir Richard Arkwright’s Cromford Mills, a UNESCO World Heritage Site. We also visit the beautiful town of Matlock Bath for an afternoon coffee stop.
Monday |After departing our hotel after breakfast we make the scenic drive through the peaks to the market town of Bakewell. With free time to enjoy this town at leisure on market day before we depart mid afternoon to return to Boston.
